Here are a few reasons to consider Run Rover Run for your dogs regular exercise needs.
Regular exercise is crucial for dogs' health as it improves cardiovascular fitness, lowers blood pressure, strengthens muscles and bones, and decreases stress.
Lack of exercise contributes to obesity in our furry friends and this can contribute to a higher incidence of stiffness, osteoarthritis, cardiovascular disease, liver disease and insulin resistance.
Even senior dogs with arthritis can exercise to increase flexibility and endurance, strengthen muscles around the joints and slow down the progression of any additional health issues caused by lack of exercise and obesity.
What you can expect from Us.We are Certified pet professionals, fully Bonded and Insured as well as Canine First Aid Certified. Along with prompt and professional service, our top priorities are safety and a positive experience for your dog. Our goal is to give your dog the best experience possible every session. We take the time to understand the individual needs of your dog and we customize each session based on those needs. We closely supervise their movements and encourage them to work as hard as they can throughout the session, stopping for breaks and water as needed, whether this be walking, trotting or running. A huge benefit of the professional equipment we use is they will go at their own pace, nothing is forced. Once dogs become accustomed to the treadmill they usually like to run, run, run! Getting your dog to this stage can sometimes involve a little learning curve, but we are there step by step to ensure a fun and safe session and encourage them with cheering, clapping and squeaky toys. The first session we will require you to be there so your dog sees your positive energy in this new environment, however after the initial meeting you are more than welcome to either join the sessions or let us work with your dog if you have other things to tend to or just want a break. You're welcome to do either. We strive to turn each interaction into a long lasting positive impression because we are looking forward to working with your dog again and again.

The Benefits of our Mobile ServiceRunning is a great way for dogs that are in good health to have fun. Running can help maintain weight, improve muscle tone, build endurance and confidence. It can also be beneficial for mental health while offering an outlet for your dogs energy.
It is safer to exercise your dog in our temperature controlled mobile unit when the weather is too hot or too cold. It can be dangerous for dogs in the high heat and humidity. When temperatures and humidity rise dogs are very susceptible to dangerous heat strokes. Also, keep the temperature of the hot pavement in mind too, Unfortunately, hot weather isn't the only thing that can cause paw pad damage. Cold temperatures present their own dangers as well. Frostbite from the ice, cracked paw pads and chemicals not labeled for pet use can also lead to burned paw pads. |
Special needsDepending on the age and health of your dog, there may be some common conditions that may mean that your dog is not the best candidate. These conditions are arthritis, age, and hip dysplasia. Make sure to get an okay from your veterinarian before starting any exercise programs for your dog. Also, puppies need to wait to start running longer distances until their growth plates have completed development. Depending on the size of the dog this can be anywhere between 8-18 months. Smaller dogs will be able to run earlier, whereas larger dogs will have to wait. Running your dogs long distances before their bones have finished growing can cause problems later in life.
Please check with your veterinarian and get the green light if you plan to use our services regularly for your dog or puppy. |
