When Booking appointments we offer weekly, bi-weekly and on-demand formats, we typically schedule a few days out. Same day appointments can be difficult to accommodate.
Appointments are scheduled on the hour or half hour. On occasion due to traffic and/or unexpected scheduling adjustments we ask that you allow a 20- 30 minute time window before or after your scheduled session. We will notify you of appointment time changes if this happens.
Before your first session we will email you three forms. 1) An Information Form requesting information about your dog. 2) Instructions on sizing your dog. 3) A liability form to complete, sign and return. We ask that you complete the information and liability form and email it to us prior to your appointment if possible. You will also receive a confirmation text the day before your session and an ETA text when we are on our way so you have time to give your dog a potty break and get them leashed up and ready to go. If you have a favourite harness that you would prefer to use you can get your dog in it, if not we will provide one. Please make sure you feed your dog a minimum of two hours before their session. Once we arrive please bring your dog out to the dog gym or let us know if you need help at the door.
After a workout your dog may be sprawled out on the cool floor panting for some time after their session. Wait until their heart rate slows before you feed or provide water. Some dogs get a burst of energy after their session and that is normal too. For dogs not accustomed to vigorous exercise we recommend giving their hind legs a rubdown to release lactic acid and prevent soreness during the next few days. The next session can be scheduled then or by phone or text.
Physical activity such as this should be cleared with your veterinarian. All dogs should be at least 8 months old and cleared by your vet first to ensure their growth plates are finished forming and our sessions are safe for them. Dogs being leash walked are required to have current vaccinations or titer test for rabies and DHPP or an equivalent and we recommend all vaccinations be up to date but not entirely necessary for our slat mill/treadmill runs as dogs are run on a 1:1 basis. For a successful experience their nails should be trimmed to a medium length at most. When their nails are longer they may experience some awkwardness with stability.
Run sessions are 1:1, Any multi dog sessions are dogs from the same household.
*Before each appointment all equipment is sanitized with PreVail a Professional Veterinary Grade disinfectant.
Payments are due prior to the appointment/session. We accept Cash or Electronic transfer
